Maui’s beautiful coastline is the ultimate experience for close up photo opportunities of our marine life. There are numerous snorkel areas where you will encounter an abundance of tropical marine life, including Maui’s green sea turtles. On occasion, you will come upon a pod of bottle nose dolphins while kayaking Maui’s rugged coastline. Please keep in mind that you are kayaking in the ocean. Your guides must keep your safety first. During Whale season (mid December through mid April), keep your camera ready for the next breach, as the whales in Maui love to show off! All your snorkel gear is provided by Hawaiian Ultimate Adventures for your Maui kayak tour. Your kayak will be outfitted with comfortable seats and backrests, lightweight paddles and leashes. Usually, this trip leaves out of Olowalu or Fleming, the West Side of Maui. Destination is weather permitted and at the sole discretion of your guides of Hawaiian Ultimate Adventures. Your Maui kayak adventure is approximately 3 hours and departs at 8:30 am. Be sure to wear your swimsuit, sunscreen and bring a waterproof camera. It is highly suggested that you purchase croakies for your sunglasses. These are fabric attachments for your sunglasses so your sunglasses do not become part of our marine environment. |

The ultimate kayak challenge is to kayak to Molokini! You must be extremely fit and at least 16 years of age to participate in the Molokini Kayak Challenge. This kayak does begin at sunrise at Makena Landing in South Maui. You will kayak 7 miles to Molokini where you'll anchor and snorkel some to the most spectacular reef and coral systems teaming with sea life! Molokini Crater is a volcano that never quite made it above sea level. Molokini is a protected marine preserve and an experience not to be missed.

We feel we have brought to you very reputable companies with excellent safety records and a wide variety of kayak tours to choose from. They will guide you through Maui’s coastal waters at a ratio of 8 kayakers to 1 guide. Some Maui kayak companies are willing to take up to 15 kayakers per guide, so be careful when choosing your kayak tour company. To fully enjoy your Maui kayak journey, you need to be able to swim, get in and out of a kayak and be somewhat fit for even the beginner tours. Tandem and single kayaks are available for your tour selection, so please specify when making your reservation. Today’s modern Kayak designs are ultra-stable and easy to handle.
