Kauai Luaus |
Please call 1-800-343-2087 for any available discounts. A Kauai luau is one of the most pleasing ways to start your Kauai vacation. You will be immersed in the Hawaiian culture and history. The Kauai tradition of hula is the art of dance and chanting to pass on knowledge and emotion. As you observe the movements of the hula, you will begin to feel the emotions being portrayed. Feel your mind relax as you are taken on a journey through Kauai’s enchanting culture. Kauai is known as the Garden Isle, filled with cultural passion and respect.
Your Kauai Luau will begin with a shell lei greeting, tropical cocktails and local juice. Usually this will consist of Mai Tais, Blue Hawaiians, Passion Fruit, and Guava Juice. After you have been shown to your seats, you are welcome to move around. There are usually local artists with their products for purchase. You can find fresh flower leis & hair pieces, wood carvings and sometimes you can even see a local quilter with their work on display at your Kauai luau. The evening events will begin as all guests have been checked in and seated. Listen for the sound of the conch shell and the lighting on the tiki torches. The Master of Ceremonies will take the stage and will speak to you about the evenings’ events. The Imu Ceremony is an authentic Polynesian experience. At the Hiva Pasefika luau, you can even watch as the pork is removed from the bone and being prepared for dinner. The all you can eat buffet will include a variety of local Kauai favorites. Specific menus are included in each Kauai luau description. Please keep in mind that the menus are subject to change without notice. An open bar will continue throughout the evening. Some Kauai luaus offer premium and blended cocktails for an additional fee. You are required to provide a photo ID to receive a cocktail at any of the Kauai luaus.
As you realize that you have eaten so much that you are unable to move…no problem! Sit back, relax and get ready to enjoy the astonishing hula performers as they take the stage. The Master of Ceremonies will share with you the history of the hula you are about to see and give you a summary of the story. A Kauai luau is educational, fulfilling and enjoyable. Reservations are required as Kauai luaus are the number one activity that Kauai guests will attend.
